Welcome to the Get Started Eating Every Three Hours series. This group of articles will provide you with a basic education in a diet that involves eating healthy food at regular intervals.

The series covers all aspects of getting started eating every three hours based on my personal experiences. Reading the series will allow you to learn from my mistakes and concentrate on jumping in with the knowledge needed to make your transition to this lifestyle a success.

    Great post collection here! I definitely agree that eating every 3 hours is beneficial. It keeps your metabolism going, takes the load of your stomach, keeps you satisfied, etc…

    I do have to disagree with the title saying you *must* count your calories to be healthy.

    Of course it depends on what your goals are. If you are an athlete or a bodybuilder, I do suggest you count your calories. Otherwise,… let’s not overwork ourselves.

    Basicly, if you have a good idea of what a healthy diet is all about and sort of know the nutritional values of the foods you eat, you can very well judge if you are eating sufficiently.

    If being healthy is something we have to work this hard for, then our food industry has seriously done a good job to butter things up.

    ps: I see you don’t actually say we have to write our calories down, just keep a mental note of them. Which is not really that hard I guess!
